Through struggles and celebrations, in good times and bad, you can count on Christ to steady and lead you.  That’s the premise of this arrangement.  It begins with a presentation of the ancient melody “Slane,” which then gets obscured and darkened (the familiar melody is still in there somehow… can you find it?) before bursting forth into a joyful and reflective ending.  Scored for flutes, oboes, 3 clarinets, alto sax (or horn in F), bassoon/bass clarinet, and one percussionist.

Meet Katherine

A veteran teaching musician for over 20 years, Katherine Peters helps students, teachers, and fellow musicians learn, teach, and play better. She excels at packaging concepts into practical, applicable, useful strategies that can be delivered one-on-one in the studio or to a lecture hall full of musicians. The underlying message in her teaching: you can do this. Katherine is also a published composer/arranger. Her arrangements have been performed by middle and high school students, community ensembles, and church ensembles.
